Pharmacist

•  Monitors physician orders/drug profiles to ensure the proper dispensing of pharmaceuticals, identification and correction of potential allergic reactions and drug interactions/incompatibilities
•  Prepares, checks and dispense:

- Intravenous Admixtures

-Unit dose and traditionally dispensed medication

-Floor Stock Request

-Manufactured product

-Outpatient medication prescriptions

•  Coordinate technician prepared medication for accuracy and quality prior to dispensing in all areas
•  Coordinates technician activities in the works areas
• Ensures that pharmacy and other predestinate areas of drug storage are stocked, equipped and maintained in accordance with appropriate regulations.
• Assumes designated area responsibilities in the absence of the immediate supervisor.

•  Performs monthly inspections of medication storage areas other than the Pharmacy.
•  Performs monthly inspection for the E carts all over the hospital.
•  Assists in supervision and teaching of ancillary personnel and orientation of new Pharmacy personnel.
• Performs other applicable tasks and suites assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Comply with the standards laid down by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards (JCIA), performs the duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation.
• Report to pharmacy supervisor and pharmacy director if any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the hospital standard of service of patients, employees or visitors and situations that  put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm program
• The duties of the pharmacist in inpatient and outpatient (2 shift up to 3 shift if needed morning, evening and night shift.

• Ability to speak both English and Arabic.
• Candidates must have demonstrated above average professional abilities and excellent professional conduct (This applies when candidate is promoted within the department).
• Exhibits knowledge in drug absorption, distribution metabolism, excretion, and interaction.
• Preforms outpatient’s counseling on their medications in the OPD and ER pharmacy.
