Job Description

  • Manage patients of the department.

 

  • Train the Para surgical staff, on the management of patients of the department.

 

  • Conduct research to help improve management of patients.

 

  • Establishes rapport with patients.

 

  • Participates in patient and family education program.

 

  • Diagnoses health problem of patients.

 

  • Treats health problem of patients.

 

  • Advises patients and relatives.

 

  • Consults supervisors on difficult and complicated cases.

 

  • Makes medical recording and prepares reports.

 

  • Assists surgical operations.

 

  • Makes daily rounds of in patients and participates in grand ground.

 

  • Attends and participates in departmental conferences and activities.

 

  • Does other tasks assigned by supervisors.

 

  • Assists the chair in the governance of the department.

 

  • Serves as liaison officer and public relations officer of the department.

 

  • Coordinates all intradepartmental activities.

 

  • Coordinates the departmental activities with those of the hospital.

 

  • Troubleshoots and solves problems in the department.

 

  • Ensures accomplishment of quality service in the department.

 

  • Ensures accomplishment of quality training in the department.

 

  • Ensures accomplishment of quality research in the department.

 

  • Prepares progress and annual reports for the department.

 

  • Coordinates with paediatrics, urology, plastic, neuro and vascular surgery       supervisors in on call duties for the management of their inpatient and ER patients’ along with the general surgery patients. Share actively in patient & family education in collaboration with all related other healthcare givers.

 

  • Share actively in patient & family education in collaboration with all related other healthcare givers.

 

  • Participate in patient safety and family education program.

 

  • Comply with the standards laid down by the approved CBAHI & JCI accreditati

Skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and spoken Arabic is preferable.
  • Must be emotionally stable and in good physical health.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint Presentations, Outlook and Word.
